Frequently Asked Questions
-
For decades, Fair Hill events have relied on temporary tents and aging food stands that no longer meet community needs. The new Community Event Center and Venue will provide a comfortable, year-round space that can host everything from hometown festivals and fundraisers to weddings, business gatherings, and family celebrations — all in one flexible, modern facility.
-
The new facility will be built on the Fair Hill, replacing the current beer and cheese curd buildings and the temporary event tent. This central location keeps the project rooted in the heart of the Fairgrounds — where the community already gathers every year.
-
The new Center will be 10,800 square feet (180’ x 60’), designed for comfort, efficiency, and flexibility. It will feature a stage for performances and open, multi-purpose spaces that can easily adapt for concerts, fundraisers, weddings, banquets, and community events. A dedicated cheese curd production and service area will keep beloved Fair traditions alive, while a west-side beer and soda area with indoor/ outdoor access will make it easy to host gatherings in every season.
-
The total campaign goal is $1.7 million, which covers all construction and related project costs. The construction start date depends on fundraising progress. The goal is to complete fundraising in 2026, so construction can begin as soon as funding and permits are in place — positioning the Fair to celebrate its 100th year with the grand opening of the new Center!
-
Endorsed by the Village of Rosholt, the campaign is being led by the Building Committee under the auspices of the Rosholt Hill Century Association, in partnership with the Community Foundation of Central Wisconsin, which serves as fiscal sponsor and 501(c)(3) partner for the campaign.
-
The Center will expand what’s possible at the Fair Hill — enabling year-round programming, concerts, and celebrations that bring people together. It will also support local businesses, attract new visitors, and ensure the Fair Hill remains a source of pride and connection for generations to come.
